Ker & Downey Botswana’s vehicle policy guarantees window seats and maximum six guests per vehicle. A private vehicle is for full paying guest bookings requiring five or less people per vehicle. This also secures private activities offered by camp. When booking a Specialist Guide, Specialist Walking Guide or Young Explorers Specialist Family Guide, a private vehicle may be required.
Private vehicle guarantee is subject to availability at the time of booking.

Specialist walking guide
For an immersive walking experience, the highly qualified and skilled trails guide will accompany the booking throughout their safari. A walking safari affords guests the ultimate way to experience the African bush. Gain an in-depth knowledge of the incredible way wildlife and habitat interact. Understand the key stone species and the seasonal dynamics of the Okavango Delta and surrounding Kalahari basin. Maximum six guests per Specialist Walking Guide. Depending on the
number of guests a private vehicle may be required. Options available to walk between Shinde and Shinde Footsteps, Kanana or Dinaka and their Sleep Out Deck – on request.

Sleepout Deck
Our New Sleep Out Deck experiences offers guests the opportunity to spend the night out under the magnificent African night sky. Kanana and Dinaka each offer this incredible experience. Depart camp after dinner, spend the night out beneath the stars, awake at sunrise and return to camp for breakfast. Offered between April and November.

Young Explorers (Specialist family guide)
A specially designed programme which offers families the opportunity to discover the wonders of the African wilderness - together. Hosted by a specialist family guide the emphasis is on providing the family with engaging, age-appropriate activities on a flexible schedule whilst creating shared family memories to last a lifetime. On completion of the safari children receive a gift pack.
