Recommended Selling Price

• All rates on this page are stated in United States Dollars (USD).
• Combine any of our camps to take advantage of the Long Stay Discount which result in discounts of 5-13% off the 1-4 night adult nightly sharing rates. Please see Table Two for full details.
• The Long Stay Rates apply only when all intercamp flights are booked with Ker & Downey Botswana
• A single supplement of 40% in High, 35% in Shoulder and none in Low season applies to the adult sharing rate per night.
• Children charged at 70% of adult sharing rate per night, excluding Kanana Nyana
• Safari Air, owned through Chobe Holdings Limited, is our preferred seat-in and private charter partner.
• For every full paying bed night booked in a Ker & Downey Botswana property, US$5 will be added to the invoice as a discretionary donation to Chobe Impact.
• The Easter and Christmas periods are charged at High Season rates.

• Private plane charter rates are available on request.
• Departure Tax (USD 25 per person) is payable on all flights departing
  from Maun or Kasane.
• Landing fees are applicable at 3rd party airstrips.
• Maxa is accessed through Xarakai (Mapula Airstrip), by a short
  helicopter transfer. The transfer cost is therefore the fixed wing
  cost to Mapula PLUS the cost for the short helicopter transfer.
• Ker & Downey reservations must book and control all helicopter
  movements into and out of Maxa.
• All transfer rates are subject to fuel price surcharges and government
  fee increases. All prices are subject to change.
• Kasane ‘Seat-in-Plane’ scheduled flights arrive around 10:30 am and
  depart around 11:00 am (subject to change). Guests unable to coincide
  with these times will require a private charter. Morning activities may
  be forfeited.
• Seat-in-Plane rates cannot be guaranteed if booked within 48 hours
  prior to travel.
• Shinde & Shinde Footsteps are serviced by the same airstrip (Shinde).
• All flights into and out of Maun will be scheduled around the times of
  international flights.
• Guests must be aware that they may, on occasion, make up to three
  stops before arriving at their destination.
• Should guests wish to guarantee specific flight times or reduce stops
  along the way, a private charter is required.
• Flight times are communicated on the day prior to the flight.

LUXURY VILLAS

Each Villa is a stand-alone building of 86 sq. meters (925 sq. feet) in extent.

• Three Villas have 4-poster super king size beds.
• Two villas have twin 3⁄4 beds which are convertible to super king beds.

COTTAGES

• Each Cottage is a stand-alone building of 50 sq. meters (540 sq. feet) in extent.
• Five Cottages have twin configuration which are convertible to standard king beds.
• Two Cottages have standard double beds.

CHILD POLICY

• Children of all ages are accepted.
• One cot and one roll away is available (One Villa at a time, unless pre organised).
• Children 0 – 5 years free of charge.

Grays Eden operates a restaurant (maximum seating of 24 patrons) and spa (maximum 2 guests per session).

PRIVATE VEHICLE
Booking a private vehicle guarantees private activities with a camp guide. When booking a Specialist Guide, Specialist Walking Guide or Young Explorers Specialist Family Guide, a private vehicle may be required. This will be advised at the time of booking.

CHILD POLICY

All our camps are family friendly, providing family tents (exceptfor Kanana Nyana), children’s menus, and carefully crafted familyactivities. Minimum age across all camps (and activities) is six years.Private vehicle is required for families with children up to the age offifteen. Adult rate applies from sixteen years, private vehicle is not required.

Low and shoulder season: Child rate is available to child sharing with one or two full-paying adults in a twin, triple or family tent.  High season: child rate is only available when booked into the family tent(s) with two sharing adults.

Rate applies to children six to fifteen years of age (except for Kanana Nyana). Camp managers and guides reserve the right to cancel any activity due to safety concerns.  Sleep Out Decks are available for families. (Max four pax)

SINGLE SUPPLEMENT POLICY
A supplement for single rooms is applicable to all bookings in shoulder and high seasons. No single supplement applies in low season. Single supplement will be applicable to the third adult when booked into either a family or twin tent.

VEHICLE POLICY
Ker & Downey Botswana vehicles have 6 seats and guarantee all passengers a window seat. Vehicles have the capacity of up to seven passengers should groups choose to stay together in one vehicle.
Kanana Nyana max. 4 guests per vehicle configuration.

TOUR LEADER POLICY
Rate is applicable for one Tour Leader staying in tour leader accommodation with a minimum four paying guests.
No charges if Exclusive use of camps.

SLEEP OUT DECK
The Sleep Out Deck offers guests the opportunity to spend the night out under the magnificent African night sky. Kanana and Dinaka offer this incredible experience.
Offered between April and November (max 4 pax).

YOUNG EXPLORERS
A specially designed programme which offers families the opportunity to discover the wonders of the African wilderness – together.
Hosted by a Specialist Family Guide, the emphasis is on providing the family with engaging, age-appropriate activities on a flexible schedule while creating shared family memories to last a lifetime.
On commencement of the safari, children receive a gift pack.
Cost includes the guide’s accommodation and flights within the Ker & Downey Botswana camps.

SPECIALIST WALKING GUIDE
For an immersive walking experience, the highly qualified and experienced trails guide will accompany the guests throughout their safari or for a portion thereof.
Affording the ultimate flexibility to explore the wilderness on foot.
Maximum six guests per Specialist Walking Guide. Depending on the number of guests, a private vehicle may be required.
Cost includes the guide’s accommodation and flights to the Ker & Downey Botswana camps.

SPECIALIST GUIDE
Would you prefer one of our Specialist Guides to accompany the booking for the duration of their stay? The Ker & Downey Botswana Specialist Guides are well-versed in all aspects of guiding, including walking safaris, photography and family safaris. Cost includes the guide’s accommodation and flights to the Ker & Downey Botswana camps.

WHAT’S INCLUDED?
Stays with Ker & Downey Botswana are on a fully inclusive basis.
This means that the nightly rate at each of the camps covers the following:
• Accommodation.
• Game activities conducted by professional guides.
• All meals and snacks.
• Selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• All taxes & park entrance fees.
• Daily laundry service.
• Emergency evacuation insurance (to the closest medical facility).

LUGGAGE
Baggage is STRICTLY restricted to 20 kg (44 lb) per person (including hand luggage and camera equipment).
Luggage must be soft-sided.
No hard suitcases and no bags with frames can be transported.
Max. dimensions of soft bags are: 40cm/15inches wide x 30cm/12inches high and 65cm (25 inch) long per person.
Excess luggage can be transferred from Maun to Kasane (or vice versa) by courier at a cost, charged per bag, up to 40 kg (88 lb).
This excess luggage fee is charged on confirmation.
For trips starting and ending in Maun, large suitcases can be stored free of charge at the Ker & Downey Botswana Maun office.

CHOBE IMPACT
Ker & Downey Botswana supports and collects for Chobe Impact, an independent not for profit entity. Chobe Impact applies the funds to projects making a positive impact in the key areas of
education, community empowerment, research, and conservation.
Ker & Downey Botswana commits to match each donation from its own profits. Should any guest be unwilling to make the donation, they shall request for it to be removed in writing prior to booking confirmation. Donations are non-commissionable and non-refundable post booking confirmation.

Our historical support for Bana Ba Letsatsi (www.banabaletsatsi.org) will continue, but through Chobe Impact.
